QR Code Baby

“I’m an tech guy!” — What else can I say to explain the utter excitement in anticipation of the baby’s arrival… so that I can dress him up in a QR code onesie that will lead people to his website?!

For those of you not familiar, the QR code (or quick response code) is an image that mobile devices and other image/bar code readers can look at… and then perform a task (like automatically open up a browser and bring up freybaby’s latest website posting).

More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_code

not an actual picture of freybaby (just a cute kid I found eating an iPad)

To make your own QR code, just go to a custom QR code generator website like this one http://www.qrstuff.com, select the task, and customize as needed.  Then, you can copy the code and do whatever you want with it (including having it printed on a onesie for your little boy so all the friends and family will roll their eyes and talk about how much of a geek daddy is).

Most popular is putting the code on business cards, flyers, posters, etc. for marketing of products and services.

Hmmmm… how soon is too soon to get some tech in the hands of little freybaby?  I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
